Dr. Paul Levin at the Swedish Parliament
Paul Levin gave a presentation on the state of politics in Turkey at an event entitled "Seminar on Turkey - what is happening and what does it mean?," sponsored by the Swedish Advocacy Group for Human Rights in Turkey (SSKT).
On 5 April, Paul Levin gave a presentation and participated in a panel discussion at the Swedish Parliament. The event was hosted by the Swedish Advocacy Group for Human Rights in Turkey (SSKT) and was entitled "Seminar on Turkey - what is happening and what does it mean?"
Topics covered during the discussion included how the EU's decision making, as well as neighboring states', will be affected by Turkey's actions. Also discussed was how member states could be prepared for whatever risks may come up in both the short and the long runs.
Invited guests included Paul Levin, Director of SUITS, spoke about the state of national politics in Turkey. Jakob Lewander, Researcher at SIEPS (Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies), addressed European policies regarding Turkey. Anna Livion Ingvarsson, Secretary General of Swedish PEN, acted as moderator. Daniel Riazat and Desirée Pethrus from SSKT gave the opening and closing remarks.
